Now that I've calmed down about the GT350 news, I can post this! It snowed. Just a little bit. But in Texas during November, it's very unusual. My doors were frozen shut! It created some good pictures.
I really have to clean my dashboard.
Classes weren't cancelled because the roads were clear. In fact everything melted within an hour of the sun coming up.

I'd love for it to snow in Houston, just a substantially enough amount to coat everything in white.

As a Wisconsin resident, I'm laughing that you think that little piddly dusting would possibly cause your classes to be canceled.

Let me get this straight. We have minor snow/ice events that cause people to stay home from work or school while you folks have to trudge through the snow, slush and ice daily and you're laughing at US?!

Except that would shut down the whole freaking city.

I'm laughing at the relative severity of snow required to cause school/work/etc cancellations. Here we need a minimum of 6 inches for that to even be considered.
It's not like I love dealing with frequent snow, but I'd rather deal with that than have it be 90+ degrees for a significant part of the year.

Haha! That is exactly what happens here in Dallas.

And as someone from New York, I agree. A little bit more on the roads and the entire city of Dallas and everything around it would shut down. It happens every year.
Now that one time where we had four inches of ice on the roads, THAT was bad! Out of school for a week. No salt trucks to melt it. It just melted and reprove re-froze over night

Yup, the terrifying thought is that Houston is even less equipped to deal with the cold than Dallas is. We're lucky if they lay down sand on overpasses here.

Yup, my dad's 2014 5.0.

I can't imagine how bad it is there then. With a little bit of snow in NY everything is normal. A light dusting here freaks everyone one out. But trucks lay down sand on the highway so it isn't that bad on the highways.

Honestly it's not as bad as the reactions of the public would have you believe. The biggest issue is that snow melts upon touching the ground here, and that turns to ice on the overpasses. When these get sanded, it's no big deal, but it kinda seems to be a crap shoot on if it actually get sanded or not. Course, I think we had 1 day total last year where the ice was a big enough issue to make me stay home, so as far as the city is concerned, it's not much of an issue at all.

True, but I think it wouldn't hurt to have a day where everybody is stuck at home for one day.
